Gregory J. Balogh’s primary interest is color.  His paintings are known for evoking a sense of peace and tranquility, which he attributes largely to his distinctive use of color. His specialized and limited pallet is the thread that runs throughout his broad range of work, including not only his Estuary, Horizon and Koi series, but also his plein air, still life, and figurative paintings. Balogh masterfully combines pigments that share the same frequency. This characteristic limited pallet results in an inherent harmony that captivates the viewer.
